This site serves as a blog for my pastoral ministry which includes commentary on culture, random topics related to Biblical studies, pastoral ministry, and Christianity in general. The site also serves as an unofficial virtual office for my seminary students and other friends. The goal is to provide encouragement to saints and direction to sinners and seekers.

Pic with 3 seminary presidents at Piedmont International University

I accompanied Dr. Richard Land yesterday to Winston-Salem, NC to hear Paige Patterson preach. I've loved Patterson's expository skills since I first heard him in chapels at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Patterson preached on Revelation 12 and then at a luncheon he spoke on the reasons he is a premillennial. I concur with it all. From left to right are: Richard Land, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Matthews, NC (and my boss), Paige Patterson, president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX, Charles Petitt, president of Piedmont International University (my alma mater), and then, yours truly.
