This site serves as a blog for my pastoral ministry which includes commentary on culture, random topics related to Biblical studies, pastoral ministry, and Christianity in general. The site also serves as an unofficial virtual office for my seminary students and other friends. The goal is to provide encouragement to saints and direction to sinners and seekers.

New Testament Philology

Book can be found here

I edited this book in honor of my Greek professor and PhD mentor, David Alan Black. Contributors include Joseph Fantin of Dallas Seminary, Will Varner of the Master's University, Stanley Porter, Philip DuToit, Margaret Sim, Stephen Stout, David Beck, Michael Shepherd, and others. I wrote the chapter on the syn compounds in Ephesians 2 and 3. I found that Paul brokered his message of identity, ecclesiology, and soteriology through use of these compound words.
