This site serves as a blog for my pastoral ministry which includes commentary on culture, random topics related to Biblical studies, pastoral ministry, and Christianity in general. The site also serves as an unofficial virtual office for my seminary students and other friends. The goal is to provide encouragement to saints and direction to sinners and seekers.

Me and Clebe McClary on Friday night, August 12. Clebe is a Vietnam Veteran and a solid Christian man. He has traveled the world giving the gospel and motivational talks to many, many people. I first heard him speak in Durham, NC in 2007, and again on Friday night. We had the pleasure of spending some time talking with him and his wife this time (after his message at SouthPointe Christian School in Pageland, SC).

Our mission trip to Joy Ranch Children's Home in Galax, VA. We went with about 130 others from Chesterfield County, SC, stayed a week, and helped with: painting, VBS for the kids, other hands-on work at the orphanage, construction at a church, and ministry in two rest homes in Galax.
